Position Title:

Senior Accountant

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Chartered Accountant firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial statements, handling taxation matters, and supporting audit assignments. The role requires solid technical knowledge, client management skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and finalize books of accounts for clients across various industries.

- Prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Handle GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Prepare and review GST returns, TDS returns, income tax returns, and tax computations.
- Assist in statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and other assurance engagements.
- Coordinate with clients for accounting records, statutory documents, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with government departments and regulatory authorities for assessments, notices, and compliance matters.
- Reconcile bank accounts, GST, TDS,



and other ledger balances.
- Review accounting work completed by junior team members and provide guidance where required.
- Ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Keep updated with changes in accounting, taxation, and regulatory laws.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards and taxation laws.
- Experience in statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audit.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime, Busy, Zoho Books, or other accounting software.
- Working knowledge of the Income Tax Portal, GST Portal, MCA Portal, and TRACES.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and client-handling abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple client assignments and meet strict deadlines.
