Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Senior Executive - Accounts & Finance to independently manage core accounting functions, ensure statutory compliance, and support strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in financial operations, team coordination, and audit readiness, with a strong grasp of taxation, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, ledger management, and reconciliations in Tally ERP.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and preparation of financial statements.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and support budgeting activities.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Supervise vendor management: invoice processing, payment scheduling, and account reconciliation.
- Oversee billing operations: customer invoicing, aging analysis, collections follow-up, and credit control.
- Handle escalations related to payment disputes or receivable delays.
Taxation & Compliance
- Manage end-to-end GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings, ensuring full compliance and timely submissions.
- Prepare documentation and liaise with consultants and departments for tax assessments and scrutiny.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure internal processes align with compliance norms.
Audit & Controls
- Coordinate and lead internal, statutory, and tax audits; prepare required schedules, reports, and reconciliations.
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls and suggest improvements in accounting practices.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation.
Banking & Treasury Management
- Manage bank relationships, perform daily bank reconciliations, and monitor cash flows and fund availability.
- Prepare fund transfer summaries and manage payment approvals.
Financial Analysis & MIS Reporting
- Generate and review monthly MIS reports, P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and budget comparisons.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
Team & Process Management
- Supervise and mentor junior accounts staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in task execution.
- Review team deliverables and assist in training and performance development.
- Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and documentation of SOPs.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting; CA Inter / ICWA Inter preferred.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance roles.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.), and accounting standards.
- In-depth understanding of Indian taxation and statutory requirements.
- Proven experience in audit coordination, financial reporting, and cost management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
