Role & responsibilities : Powertrain Design Engineer (Stack-up & NPD CAD)
Location: Chennai
Experience: 4- 6 Years
Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days (Acceptable )
Qualification: B.E / M.E (Mechanical / Automobile Engineering)
Key Skills Required:
Strong experience in CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)
Expertise in Powertrain Systems (Transmission / Driveline / Cooling / Fuel System)

Skill set
Powertrain STACKUP & NPD CAD: Plastic / sheet metal / casting / machining
Domain knowledge
BE/ME in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with 4 to 6 Years of experience in powertrain (Transmission / Driveline / cooling system / Fuel System)
Apply knowledge of plastic, casting, sheet metal, and machining commodity to design parts and systems in Catia.
Must have CAD skills on Catia V5 or 3DX environment.
Experience with Teamcenter PLM software.
Candidate should have effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Experience in Microsoft office tools
Valuable exposure on Plastic, casting, sheet metal, and machining commodity.
Job Description
Design & development of powertrain commodities, Including air intake systems, Fuel systems,



and Transmission components.
Concepts to production: Should have knowledge in Plastics, Sheetmetal, casting and Machining parts design process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including manufacturing, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines) to ensure optimal integration of powertrain systems.
Conduct VSA/Stack up analysis to verify component and system compatibility and ensure robust designs.
Proficient with GDT and Drawing standards.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to completion, meeting deadlines, and quality standards.
Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to problem-solving efforts, and share knowledge with colleagues.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and expanding your knowledge of powertrain technologies, including emerging areas like battery pack design and packaging.
