We are inviting applications for software developers having good knowledge for our new startup in Mumbai.

We are looking for an Android Native Developer to help build the next phase of modern apps. As an engineer, you will need to have in depth knowledge of backend systems, performance profiling, design principles and good coding practices. You will not only be building new features but also help in mentoring and guiding the team to make better architectural decisions on a day to day basis. The position is based in Mumbai, India; this is a full-time opportunity, and the candidate must live in Mumbai or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the team to realize an effective, scalable architecture for the platform.
- Work with various software development tools
- Model database architecture for performance and scalability
- Develop appropriate web-based APIs for related systems.
- Participate in code reviews, automated and functional testing, and other aspects of our quality assurance process.
- Fully participate in a scrum-based, agile development team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.

Requirements





- At least 2 years of Android development experience
- Experience consuming REST interfaces and building asynchronous networking clients.
- Experience with unit testing.
- Experience with user testing and direct QA, or a desire and willingness to interact directly with users to solve issues.
- Familiar with GIT
- You have at least 2 active applications available for download from the Google Play Store.
- You are intimately familiar with Android APIs for graphics, multi-media, networking, and location services.
- You have a solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle and OO principles.

Nice-to-have skills

- Geofencing and Google Maps
- Any experience with non-mobile technologies - Python, Javascript, HTML, whatever!
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Must be a hustler with positive communication skills
- Must be self motivated and passionate to work in a startup.
- Should have passion to outgrow and keeping learning
- Should be able to analyze clients requirements.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and milestones
