We're looking for a Python Full Stack Developer to join the small team behind PA Tool — our internal Audit Delivery Platform serving 200+ internal users and 2,000+ clients annually. You'll own features across a Python/Flask backend and integrations with Jira, Salesforce, Google Drive, Drata, and OpenAI. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in a large, evolving codebase and takes full ownership from database model to UI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain features across the full stack: backend logic, data models, server-rendered templates, and JavaScript/AJAX interactions.
- Design and extend RESTful APIs and web endpoints consumed by the browser and internal tooling.
- Implement and debug background jobs for tasks such as file processing, document generation, bulk operations, and email delivery.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and external platforms as the product evolves.
- Contribute to ongoing codebase modernization — refactoring legacy code, improving structure, and maintaining backward compatibility.
- Write efficient database queries; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in high-traffic views.
- Contribute to internal reporting and analytics features that surface operational data to leadership.
- Perform code reviews, write meaningful commit messages,



and uphold the team's documentation standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using APM tooling and application logs.

Work Skills and Qualifications:

- 3–7 years of Python development experience, with at least 2 years in Flask or a comparable web framework (Django, FastAPI).
- Strong command of an ORM — model definition, relationships, query optimization, and schema migrations.
- Experience with a relational database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) in a production environment.
- Comfortable with asynchronous task processing (Celery, RQ, or similar).
- Solid JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+) — fluent with AJAX, JSON handling, and browser-side debugging.
- Understanding web application fundamentals: request lifecycle, session management, and authentication patterns.
- Familiarity with Git, code review workflows, and feature-branch development.
- Strong communication skills — this role involves regular coordination with non-technical stakeholders who are domain experts.

Education, Credentials, and Experience:

- Experience integrating with third-party REST APIs.
- Familiarity with AWS or another cloud provider and containerized deployments.
- Exposure to LLM/AI API integrations in a production context.
- Experience with an APM or error-tracking tool (Datadog, Sentry, or similar).
- Knowledge of common authentication patterns — session-based auth, OTP, OAuth.
- Understanding web security fundamentals: input validation, access control, OWASP top 10.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience preferred.
