Reporting To: Messaging and Telecommunications Supervisor

Shift: US (8:30 pm - 5:30 am IST) (India)

We are seeking a skilled Messaging Specialist to manage and maintain our enterprise email system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, and support of a diverse messaging infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our messaging systems.

The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

- Tune and evolve Messaging and Collaboration services, to facilitate a stable and efficient communication platform for the Russell lines of business.

- Open support tickets with vendors and work issues to completion to provide excellent standard of service. Escalate support tickets in a timely manner as appropriate.

- Remain current with industry service and technology trends, costs and strategies as well as Russell business drivers

- Participates in team meetings and assists with definition of systems design.

- Provides input regarding scalability, capacity and performance as solutions grow.

- Maintain documentation on existing architectures, standards, policies and procedures.

- Identify and implement technologies, service packs and hotfixes that will improve reliability and overall system stability for the Exchange and Unified Communications infrastructure environment.

- Identifying changes to the existing service to maintain technical viability, i.e., service remains efficient, effective and integrated technically with strategic IT and Business direction.

- Managing problem resolution remediation tasks for issues that arise with post-production use of a current Messaging or Collaboration product.





The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information System or 5 to 7 years progressive experience in Messaging, and Messaging Services in a medium to large organization

- Possess a minimum of 5 years of professional Exchange infrastructure experience

- Possess deep technical expertise of MS Exchange SE Hybrid Infrastructure and Microsoft 365 Exchange Online

- Possess deep technical expertise of Enterprise Vault 15.1, RightFax 16.3, Veritas Merge1, Veritas Compliance Accelerator, Veritas Discovery Accelerator, SharePoint Online.

- Deep familiarity with standard messaging protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3, TLS)

- Technical knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SBC (Session Border Controller) is a plus

- Possesses a strong working knowledge of an Enterprise Messaging Infrastructure

- Robust knowledge of Active Directory concepts including permissions, Distribution List configuration, Windows Server, PowerShell

- Good knowledge of email security and hygiene, including phishing prevention, spam filtering, and email threat management, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Defender (Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and related security tools).

- 2-3 years experience managing the support of MS Exchange platforms, MS Outlook configuration and Best Practices, and MS Unified Communications





- Knowledge of Server and Networking principles pertaining to enterprise environment

- General understanding of DHCP, DNS, Hardware Load Balancing and firewalls in an Enterprise environment.

- Experience in IT service delivery using the ITIL framework.

- Demonstrated experience where operating as part of an effective team/relationship is critical to the success of your role.

- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and collaboration skills with all levels of management

- Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs and drivers with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence through service provision.

- Expertise in understanding, setting, and managing customer expectations.

- Skills in conceptualizing, documenting, and presenting creative service solutions.

- Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing theories or developing new approaches to seize opportunities and sustain business success.

- Strong technology subject matter expertise with the ability to recognize trends and innovate effectively, proactive approach essential.

- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.

- Strong organizational skills including the ability to set shifting priorities and meet deadlines / adaptability / flexibility.

- Ability to understand, communicate, and solve complex problems quickly.

- Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to meet change management guidelines
