Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (BIM) to join our engineering team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Bentley MicroStation and hands-on experience in EHV Substation projects, including electrical modeling, drafting, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed 3D electrical models for EHV substations using Bentley MicroStation (V8i/CONNECT Edition).
- Model outdoor switchyard equipment such as Power Transformers, SF6 Circuit Breakers, CTs, PTs, Isolators, Lightning Arresters, Lighting Poles, CCTV, and other electrical/ELV systems.
- Prepare and update:
- General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
- Equipment Layouts
- Cable Tray, Trench & Duct Bank Layouts
- Cable Routing Drawings
- Cable Schedules
- Single Line Diagram (SLD) modeling support

- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical teams to ensure clash-free and coordinated designs.
- Incorporate design revisions, RFIs, and review comments into BIM models.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, IEC/IEEE codes, and CAD/BIM standards.
- Perform self-checks and support QA/QC activities to maintain high-quality deliverables.




- Maintain proper documentation and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support multiple projects while meeting project timelines.
- Mentor junior BIM modelers when required.

Required Skills

- Robust proficiency in Bentley MicroStation (V8i/CONNECT Edition).
- Hands-on experience in Electrical BIM Modeling for EHV Substation or Power Utility projects.
- Good understanding of:
- Electrical layouts and routing
- Cable management systems
- Equipment clearances and safety requirements

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design markups.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
