Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Institutional Equity Dealing Technology Support Engineer to support the firm's institutional equity trading technology infrastructure. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted functioning of front-office trading systems, CTCL connectivity, OMS/RMS platforms, exchange interfaces, and dealer workstations.
The incumbent will provide L2 production support for institutional dealing operations, manage exchange connectivity, troubleshoot mission-critical trading applications, and coordinate with exchanges, brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in capital market technology, CTCL architecture, OMS/RMS platforms, networking fundamentals, and production support within a fast-paced institutional trading environment.
Responsibilities
1. Trading Application Support
- Provide L1/L2 production support for Institutional Equity Trading applications, dealer terminals, OMS, RMS, and EMS platforms.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability and optimal performance of trading applications during market hours.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve trading-related incidents within defined SLAs.
- Coordinate with application vendors and internal technology teams to resolve production issues.
- Perform application health monitoring, system validations, and post-deployment verification.
2. CTCL Administration & Exchange Connectivity
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot NSE/BSE CTCL terminals and dealer connectivity.
- Manage CTCL user creation, dealer mapping, exchange approvals, permissions, and compliance requirements.
- Resolve CTCL login failures, order routing issues, dealer ID mapping problems, and connectivity failures.
- Support leased line, VPN, MPLS, and internet connectivity between exchanges and trading infrastructure.
- Conduct periodic CTCL audits and ensure compliance with exchange and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate directly with NSE, BSE, and technology vendors during connectivity or production incidents.
3. OMS/RMS & Trading Infrastructure Support
- Support OMS, RMS, EMS, and dealer workstation environments.
- Monitor order management systems, risk management systems,
and market data feeds.
- Perform troubleshooting for order flow failures, market data interruptions, and dealer workstation issues.
- Assist in application upgrades, software deployments, and production releases.
- Support exchange gateway connectivity and ensure high system availability during trading hours.
4. Network, Infrastructure & Security Support
- Support LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, routers, switches, and exchange network infrastructure used by trading operations.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, multicast, DNS, routing, latency, and connectivity-related issues affecting trading systems.
- Assist in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and failover testing.
- Ensure endpoint security, antivirus compliance, system patching, and secure access controls for trading infrastructure.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams to optimize network performance for low-latency trading.
5. User Support & Stakeholder Coordination
- Provide technical support to institutional dealers, traders, sales traders, equity research teams, and operations users.
- Manage user onboarding, application installation, access provisioning, and trading workstation configurations.
- Coordinate with exchanges, brokers, ISPs, application vendors, and internal IT teams for issue resolution.
- Deliver prompt technical assistance during live market hours with minimal operational disruption.
6. Monitoring, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor trading applications, exchange connectivity, market data feeds, and infrastructure health using monitoring tools.
- Generate daily operational reports, incident reports, RCA documentation, and system availability reports.
- Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, knowledge repositories, and troubleshooting guides.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance system reliability, operational efficiency, and trading uptime.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, technology projects, and automation initiatives.

Skills
- Solid hands-on experience supporting CTCL environments in institutional equity trading.
- Excellent understanding of Institutional Equity Trading Operations and front-office workflows.
- Good knowledge of NSE/BSE trading architecture, exchange connectivity, and capital market infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with OMS, RMS, EMS, and dealer workstation support.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Windows Desktop Administration, and Active Directory.
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Firewalls, and Multicast.
- Basic SQL knowledge for application troubleshooting and database validation.
- Familiarity with production support, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and ITIL processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under pressure during market hours while maintaining high service availability.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- 48 years of relevant experience supporting institutional equity trading technology, CTCL environments, OMS/RMS platforms, or exchange connectivity.
- Prior experience working with brokerage houses, institutional trading desks, investment banks, stock exchanges, or capital market technology organizations is strongly preferred.
- Certifications in NSE/BSE Capital Markets, Networking (CCNA), Microsoft Technologies, ITIL, or Linux Administration will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of exchange regulations, trading infrastructure, and production support best practices.
