Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Scheme Administrator to support our certification team in maintaining the highest standards of audit review and compliance. The role focuses on audit document review, scheme compliance, and certification database management, making it an ideal fit for candidates with a relevant academic background and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the optimal day-to-day operations of the certification division.
- Review new scheme requirements and update audit guidelines, accordingly, keeping inspectors informed of any changes.
- Ensure that the most current version of the checklist is used at all audits.
- Complete all relevant internal training, authorisations, and any external training or examinations as required by the applicable scheme.
- Maintain the certification database and manage filing systems in an organised and up-to-date manner.
- Handle client communications in a professional and timely manner.
- Carry out Tracenet and Traces operations for the EU.




- Issue Transaction Certificates and certificates under other applicable standards.
- Maintain and operate traceability systems, including the internal TC system.
- Initiate and arrange sampling of commodities as required.
- Maintain the certification database and ensure records are accurate and current.
- Manage client communications and filing systems in a professional and timely manner.
- Carry out any other related tasks assigned by management.

What you bring to the table?

- Knowledge of organic certification standards and quality management systems
- Familiarity with EU regulatory platforms such as Tracenet and Traces
- Experience with Transaction Certificates and traceability systems
- Strong attention to detail for audit document review and checklist management
- Excellent organizational skills for database and filing system management
- Professional communication skills for client and inspector coordination
- Proactive approach to completing required training, authorizations, and examinations

Qualifications:

- Relevant University degree or a comparable level in a relevant discipline (Agriculture/Horticulture/food technology/ aquaculture/apiculture/animal husbandry relevant to the scope of certification)
- Relevant Industry experience of up to 1 year
- Relevant Training on Organic standards
- Knowledge of the quality management system.

This is a contractual position with an initial duration of one year, renewable based on performance.
