Job Summary

The Project Planning Manager is responsible for leading the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of multiple interior fit-out projects. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual milestones by providing effective project planning, progress monitoring, risk management, and resource optimization. The Planning Manager works closely with project teams, procurement, design, commercial, and client representatives to drive project performance and timely decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules for multiple interior fit-out projects.
- Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project baselines, milestones, and critical paths.
- Prepare detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Develop procurement, design, shop drawing, material approval, and execution schedules.
- Prepare recovery and acceleration plans when required.

Project Monitoring & Control

- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and contractual milestones.
- Conduct schedule updates and perform critical path and variance analysis.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and productivity issues, recommending mitigation strategies.
- Track procurement, fabrication, logistics, and installation activities to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and resource utilization across projects.

Project Controls & Reporting

- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, and KPI reports.
- Present project performance reports to senior management and clients.
- Maintain project planning documentation and reporting systems.
- Support earned value analysis and productivity tracking.





Coordination & Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with project managers, design teams, procurement, QS/commercial, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors.
- Participate in client, consultant, and management review meetings.
- Ensure effective communication of project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Support commercial teams with Extension of Time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and contractual planning matters.

Risk Management

- Identify schedule-related risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Perform what-if scenario analysis to evaluate project impacts.
- Monitor critical activities and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor planning engineers and project controls personnel.
- Establish planning standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Review and approve project schedules prepared by planning engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning and reporting processes.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- PMP, PMI-SP, or Primavera P6 certification is preferred.
- Additional project controls or planning certifications are an advantage.

Experience

- 1015 years of experience in construction planning and project controls.
- At least 5 years in a managerial planning role.
- Extensive experience in interior fit-out projects, including commercial offices,



hospitality, retail, residential, and mixed-use developments.
- Proven experience managing multiple fast-track projects simultaneously.

Technical Skills

- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Power BI reporting skills.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM coordination is an advantage.
- Understanding of construction sequencing and interior fit-out methodologies.
- Knowledge of project control systems, CPM scheduling, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
