Role & responsibilities

The Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) is the apex body representing India's rice export industry.

As part of strengthening our leadership team and successfully organizing the Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2026.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall administration and strategic operations of IREF.

- Plan, coordinate, and execute BIRC 2026 and other national/international events.

- Liaise with Central and State Government Ministries, APEDA, DGFT, FCI, Customs, Agricultural Departments, and other regulatory authorities.

- Handle policy advocacy, regulatory compliance, licensing, and government approvals.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, members, and government agencies.





- Lead a skilled team and drive organizational growth.

Desired Profile

- Minimum 10-15 years of senior leadership experience.

- Strong exposure to the agriculture, agri-business, food grains, rice trade, or commodity sector.

- Proven experience in dealing with government departments, licensing, regulatory compliance, and policy matters.

- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Retired senior government officers with relevant experience may also apply.
