Matchworkers International is a recruitment and immigration consultancy with 26 years of experience delivering workforce solutions to clients across European markets. We are expanding our New Delhi sourcing hub and looking for a Recruitment Consultant with strong construction sector expertise.

You will own the screening and selection process for construction companies, infrastructure projects, civil engineering firms, MEP contractors, and general contracting organisations assessing candidates on genuine technical capability, not just what's written on the CV, before they reach our international clients.

What you'll do

- Screen and shortlist CVs against employer specifications
- Conduct telephonic, virtual, and face-to-face interviews for construction positions
- Assess technical and operational knowledge across civil, structural, MEP, site management, and skilled trades
- Verify trade qualifications, certifications, and project experience against client requirements
- Evaluate communication skills, professionalism, safety awareness, and overall suitability
- Run competency-based and behavioural interviews to identify high-potential candidates
- Test candidate understanding of construction methods, site operations, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
- Assess experience across residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure,



and MEP projects
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports with clear selection or rejection recommendations
- Coordinate with sourcing partners and regional sub-agents across India to fill client manpower requirements
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment databases
- Deliver against recruitment targets and client deadlines

What you'll bring

- Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience in construction recruitment, manpower supply, staffing, or agency environments
- Proven track record of construction hiring with a demonstrable placement history
- Solid working knowledge of construction operations, civil engineering, infrastructure, MEP, site management, and skilled trades
- Strong sourcing, screening, interviewing, and assessment skills
- Ability to evaluate candidates beyond the CV — probing technical and practical job knowledge
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English and Hindi; additional regional languages an advantage given pan-India sourcing
- Experience in overseas recruitment, manpower supply, or immigration (familiarity with eMigrate and POE/MEA processes) highly preferred
- Comfort working in a rapid-paced, target-driven environment
