About the role

On behalf of our client, a leading global professional services firm delivering PIM/MDM solutions across customer engagements, we are hiring an experienced Syndigo PIM Developer. This role will design, configure, and support Product Information Management solutions on the Syndigo (Riversand) platform, ensuring accurate product data onboarding, enrichment, validation, and syndication across downstream systems such as ERP, eCommerce, GDSN, MDM, and analytics platforms. The role supports ongoing Syndigo migration initiatives, enhancements, integrations, and production support.

Key responsibilities

- Configure product data models, attributes, hierarchies, relationships, and classifications in Syndigo PIM.
- Implement business rules, validations, and conditional logic using Syndigo's validation capabilities to ensure product data completeness and accuracy.
- Design and configure workflows for product onboarding, enrichment, approvals, and publishing.
- Build and support inbound/outbound integrations between Syndigo PIM and ERP systems, MDM platforms, GDSN/customer syndication channels, and downstream systems (eCommerce, MAP, ODS, Snowflake).
- Configure imports, exports, feeds,



and scheduling for product data distribution.
- Provide sizing and estimates, and input into work breakdown structure and task allocation.
- Support Syndigo migration initiatives and drive ongoing platform enhancements.
- Provide production support and pre-emptive maintenance across the Syndigo environment; validate published data using export history, task summaries, and audit logs.
- Manage user roles, access controls, and governance rules within the Syndigo platform.
- Resolve complex technical issues and ensure continuous improvement of product data completeness, accuracy, and distribution.
- Candidate requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Syndigo (Riversand) MDM or PIM.
- Strong understanding of data models, business rules, and business conditions.
- Good working knowledge of REST-based APIs and SOA architecture.
- Extensive knowledge of JSON and Core Java programming.
- Experience with stream-processing systems: Azure Blob Storage or Azure Event Hub.
- Advanced SQL coding, stored procedures, and query optimisation/tuning on Snowflake and/or other large databases.
- Working knowledge of GDSN standards and customer syndication channels; exposure to downstream commerce systems (eCommerce, MAP, ODS, Snowflake) is a plus.
- Experience supporting PIM or MDM migration programmes, ideally in retail or consumer goods.
- Robust communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable in both waterfall and agile execution.
