Role Overview

The Solution Design Analyst translates business and data requirements into detailed integration designs between Siemens Teamcenter and SAP S/4HANA. Reporting to the PLM/ERP Lead Architect, this role authors functional and technical specifications for integrating Part/Item Master, BOM, BOP/Routing, and Change objects. The analyst aligns PLM and target-state ERP processes, updates process maps in BPMN 2.0, and defines field-level mappings and transformation rules. They facilitate design reviews, drive stakeholder sign-off, and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability. The role also supports build and unit-test teams by clarifying design intent and resolving design issues.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in PLM solution design or PLM/ERP integration projects
- Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter data model (Items, BOM, BOP, Change Management)
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA master data (Material/Item Master, BOM, Routing)
- Experience authoring functional and technical design documents
- Experience maintaining requirements traceability from requirements to design and test cases




- Ability to align and document business/IT processes using BPMN 2.0
- Robust analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-facing communication skills
- Preferred: Exposure to Teamcenter for SAP (T4S/T4ST) or similar PLM-ERP middleware
- Preferred: Manufacturing/discrete or medical-device industry exposure

Responsibilities

- Align PLM and target-state ERP processes and update process maps using BPMN 2.0
- Revisit and reconcile PLM Key Design Decisions (KDDs) to ensure alignment with program policy
- Author functional and technical design specifications for Teamcenter–S/4HANA integration of Part/Item Master, BOM, BOP/Routing, and Change objects
- Define data mappings, transformation rules, and field-level integration requirements between Teamcenter and S/4HANA
- Specify Teamcenter enhancements required for PLM–ERP integration and capture acceptance criteria
- Prepare and facilitate design reviews and drive customer sign-off of system requirements
- Support build and unit-test teams by clarifying design intent and resolving design questions
- Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and test cases within the PMO governance framework
