Role & responsibilities - Mylapore - Chennai Tamil Nadu
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and overall management of the Managing Director's residence.
- Supervise and coordinate all domestic staff, including housekeeping, cooking, gardening, drivers, and other support personnel.
- Ensure the residence is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, organization, and presentation.
- Plan and monitor daily household activities and staff duty schedules.
- Manage household inventory, including groceries, cleaning supplies, and other essential items, ensuring timely procurement.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for the residence, equipment, and utilities.
- Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring quality service and cost control.
- Assist in organizing family events, guest visits, and special occasions with attention to detail.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of the Managing Director and family at all times.
- Monitor household budgets, maintain expense records, and submit periodic reports as required.
- Handle emergencies and resolve household issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and housekeeping standards within the residence.
- Maintain a courteous, disciplined, and service-oriented environment for all household staff.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Housekeeping, Facility Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 15 to 25 years of experience in managing luxury residences, guest houses, villas, or hospitality establishments.
- Prior experience as a Residence Manager, Estate Manager, House Manager, or Executive Housekeeper is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Ability to work flexible hours and reside at the Managing Director's residence.
- Well-groomed, courteous, and service-oriented personality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic administrative documentation.
- Fluency in English and Tamil is preferred; knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage.
