Role & responsibilities

3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop and Service)
Solid proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language)
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, normalization, relationships)
Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

Preferred candidate profile

Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
Develop and optimize data models using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, cloud platforms, APIs, etc.)
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Perform data cleansing, transformation,



and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage user access/permissions
Optimize report performance and troubleshoot data refresh issues
Publish and manage content on Power BI Service, including workspaces, apps, and scheduled refreshes
Create and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and processes
Provide training and support to end-users on self-service BI tools
Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and industry best practices
Partner with data engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines feeding into BI solutions
