Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail oriented Data Testing & Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our complex data pipelines and data processing systems. You will leverage your expertise in Python, SQL, and modern data orchestration tools to validate large scale data transformations, while applying your deep understanding of the banking domain to ensure business logic and reconciliation processes are flawless. We are also looking for a forward thinking individual who can leverage cutting edge AI/ML tools (like Copilot and Agentic AI) to enhance our testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Data Validation & Reconciliation: Design, develop, and execute rigorous data testing strategies, focusing on end to end reconciliation and data validation across complex data architectures.
Pipeline Testing: Validate and monitor ETL pipelines, ensuring data lineage accuracy and tracing data transformations from source to destination using tools like DataStage or Informatica.
Automation Development: Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using Robot Framework, Python scripting (pandas, PySpark, NumPy), and complex SQL (including cross DB queries and stored procedures).
Orchestration & Workflow Validation: Test and monitor Apache Airflow DAGs, analyzing logs within an OCP (OpenShift Container Platform) environment to ensure smooth task orchestration.
API & System Integration Testing: Perform comprehensive API testing utilizing REST principles and Postman.
Environment Management:



Perform log analysis and write shell scripts in Unix/Linux environments to troubleshoot issues and automate routine operational tasks.
Domain Application: Apply deep knowledge of the Banking domain, specifically in Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) and financial reconciliation, to design relevant and rigorous test cases.
AI Integration: Actively utilize AI/ML tooling, including GitHub Copilot and Agentic AI solutions, to optimize test script generation, streamline workflows, and drive innovation in QA practices.

Requirements

Must Have Skills & Qualifications
Data Testing: Proven experience in complex data testing, reconciliation, and validation methodologies.
Python: Robust scripting skills utilizing libraries such as pandas, PySpark, and NumPy for data manipulation and testing.
SQL: Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, cross database querying, and working with stored procedures.
ETL Concepts: Deep understanding of ETL pipelines, data mapping, and data lineage tracking.
Unix / Linux: Comfortable navigating Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and comprehensive log analysis.
Airflow: Hands on experience with Apache Airflow, including DAG testing, log analysis, and operating within OCP environments.
API Testing: Solid experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
Robot Framework: Practical experience building and executing automation scripts using Robot Framework.
Banking Domain: Domain expertise in banking and financial services, with specific experience in TLM (Transaction Lifecycle Management) and financial reconciliation.
ETL Tools: Practical knowledge of enterprise ETL tools such as IBM DataStage or Informatica.
AI/ML Adoption: Experience or strong familiarity with modern AI/ML development aids, specifically Copilot and Agentic AI workflows.

Nice to Have Skills
Cloud Platforms: Experience testing and operating within cloud based pipeline environments (AWS or Azure).
Test Management: Familiarity with Qtest or similar enterprise test management platforms.
