Role & responsibilities

- Serve as a subject matter expert in Java and Azure technologies, providing strategic direction for projects
- Architect and design solutions for legacy modernization programs while ensuring alignment with business goals
- Build scalable cloud solutions leveraging microservices and modern architecture patterns
- Lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Ensure project compliance with technical standards and enforce best practices
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering growth and collaboration
- Conduct deep assessments of legacy mainframe applications and identify potential areas for improvement
- Develop modernization strategies such as re-platforming, re-factoring, and cloud migrations
- Oversee integration efforts to maintain seamless interaction between modernized systems and legacy systems
- Implement quality assurance measures to meet performance, security, and compliance benchmarks
- Create and maintain detailed documentation outlining architectural designs and development principles
- Cultivate robust relationships with clients and facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders




- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to solve complex challenges in modernization initiatives

Preferred candidate profile

- At least 1419 years of experience in solution architecture and software development
- Expertise in Java and Azure with a strong background in modernization technologies
- Experience in designing scalable architectures using microservices
- Proficiency in reverse engineering legacy systems for modernization purposes
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (Azure Solution Architect experience is mandatory)
- Skills in software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices
- Understanding of modernization tools, methodologies, and cloud transformation techniques
- Competency in integrating modernized solutions with other systems for seamless performance
- Strong communication and leadership aptitude for conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Background in business transformation initiatives and IT modernization strategies
- Qualifications in frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
- Showcase of using databases including PostgreSQL or NoSQL DBs effectively.
