The Machine Shop Leader is responsible for supervising operators, coordinating daily production activities, providing
Technical support and ensuring production, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC turning and milling machines when required.
- Support operators in machine setup, tooling selection, and troubleshooting.
- Review machining processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Verify first-piece inspections and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assist in resolving machining, tooling, and programming issues.
Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of Machine Shop Operators.
- Assign jobs and monitor work progress according to production priorities and schedules.
- Ensure operators follow quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Monitor shop performance and report production issues, delays, and resource requirements to the Production Supervisor.
- Train, coach, and support Machine Shop Operators to improve technical skills and performance.
- Ensure implementation of 5S, housekeeping, and company policies within the Machine Shop.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering departments to support smooth production
Operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or Management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Diploma or Technical Certificate in CNC Machining, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- - Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming, setup, and machining
Operations, including experience leading or supervising a team
- CNC Systems: Advanced proficiency in FANUC, OKUMA, and Siemens controllers.
- Preferred: Experience in both CNC turning and milling operations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to coordinate shop-floor activities, provide technical guidance, and

Skills Required:
- Robust knowledge of CNC machinery and programming.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
