Job Description: Project Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Project Engineer, you shall support the coordination and oversight of engineering & designing activities during the execution of the projects. This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key duties include managing and coordinating resources through discipline HoDs, liaising with clients and stakeholders, providing technical guidance, and resolving issues. The Project Engineer shall ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to optimize project performance and deliverables. You might be required at the site during the Construction Phase. Within the category of Sr. Project Engineer, once assigned to the project team, you shall assume the highest level of technical and managerial responsibility.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities

- Contract & Alignment: Know the Project Contract and objectives and ensure that they are known to the rest of the team working in the area.
- Inter-disciplinary Coordination: Carry out inter-disciplinary coordination in the unit of responsibility to guarantee the technical quality, deadlines, and cost of the works and products to be delivered in accordance with the scope of the Contract and Client technical Specifications.
- Technical Authority: Serve as the final authority on technical clarifications with Clients, Licensors, Vendors, or Subcontractors and oversee the resolution of all critical engineering issues, including HAZOP and model review action items.




- Compliance & Standards: Take full responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the project are in compliance with engineering standards, quality protocols, and project deadlines, thereby contributing strategically to the organizations success.
- Planning & Execution: Know, coordinate, and follow the planning and activities program in the Area / Unit responsible for.
- Asset Tracking: Ensure that the list of the equipment in the area responsible is updated.
- Procurement Support: Ensure the content and scope of the requisition of the equipment and materials specific or exclusive to the area of responsibility and that the technical and economic tabulations are aligned, complying with the technical requirements of the Project.
- Engineering Consistency: Ensure engineering consistency and coordinate the implementation of value improvement and constructability initiatives.
- Management Support: Assist the PD (Project Director) & Operation Manager in developing Project Procedures, Execution Plans, and EPC schedules or subcontracting to third parties for engineering & construction studies.
- Vendor Engagement: Participate in Vendor KOMs (Kick-Off Meetings).
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior and senior team members, establishing best practices and continuous improvement processes (including the identification and implementation of lessons learned).
