Digantara is a leading Space Surveillance and Intelligence company focused on ensuring orbital safety and sustainability With expertise in space-based detection tracking identification and monitoring Digantara provides comprehensive domain awareness across all regimes enabling end-users to gain actionable intelligence on a single platform At the core of its infrastructure lies a sophisticated integration of hardware and software capabilities aligned with the key principles of situational awareness perception data collection comprehension data processing and prediction analytics This holistic approach empowers Digantara to monitor all Resident Space Objects RSOs in orbit fostering comprehensive domain awareness We are looking for a Data Scientist with robust expertise in building validating and deploying AI models for space applications Why Us Join a well-funded fast-growing startup at the forefront of space technology At Digantara you ll work on groundbreaking projects that ensure orbital safety and sustainability We offer competitive incentives a collaborative environment and opportunities to innovate from day one Responsibilities Define document and manage system requirements throughout the product life cycle Plan configure and allocate requirements to subsystems ensuring coherence and traceability throughout the design process Perform system-level trade-off studies to optimize performance reliability and cost Develop and maintain system-level documentation including specifications interface control documents and system design descriptions Conduct requirements analysis verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with customer needs and industry standards Develop risk mitigation plans and monitor their implementation Facilitate customer and stakeholder engagement to capture and understand their needs and expectations Communicate technical concepts requirements and issues clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters in Aerospace Mechanical Electronics or a relevant discipline 2 years of professional experience in Space industry or affiliated industries Understanding of all the critical subsystems and segments that make up a satellite mission Experience in engineering project management ensuring timely delivery resource allocation risk management and effective team collaboration Preferred Qualities End-to-end design and realisation experience or Systems integration experience in a subsystem system in the Space industry Skilled in creating detailed technical reports contents manuals and operational guidelines Experience with SysML and ECSS standards or similar Professional certification in Systems Engineering Ex INCOSE Have a can-do spirit and good problem-solving skills General Requirements Ability to take direction and work independently Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule Good verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills Travel occasionally as necessary Fluent in English Job Location Hebbal Bengaluru
