The Server Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization s server infrastructure including virtualization platforms Proxmox VMware Hyper-V Linux Windows servers DNS NFS SAN NAS storage and data centre systems The role involves server deployment troubleshooting network configuration Active Directory management system monitoring patching and ensuring high availability and performance The engineer must be able to work independently and in a team resolve issues within SLA automate basic tasks through scripting and ensure secure stable and optimized IT operations of Data centre operation along with Project site server architecture deployment Responsibilities Primary Functions and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain virtualization platforms such as Proxmox VMware and Hyper-V including VM deployment resource allocation snapshots and cluster operations Install configure and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers ensuring optimal performance availability and security Administer Active Directory DNS DHCP LDAP and Group Policies for user system and network management Configure and manage NFS SAN and NAS storage including LUN provisioning iSCSI multipath and shared storage for virtualized environments Handle server hardware tasks such as RAID setup component diagnostics firmware upgrades and system health monitoring Perform network configuration including VLANs routing basics IP management firewall rules and LAN WAN operations Deploy and manage web servers Apache Nginx SSL certificates virtual hosts and reverse proxy setups Implement system and network monitoring using tools like Zabbix Nagios Grafana Prometheus and manage alerts and incident response Execute OS and security patch management for Linux and Windows systems while ensuring compliance with organizational standards Perform migrations of servers data and VMs across platforms or storage environments Conduct OS deployment using PXE imaging tools and Windows Deployment Services Use basic Bash Powershell scripting to automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency Support mail server basics SMTP IMAP POP and manage related DNS records MX SPF DKIM DMARC Maintain documentation including SOPs checklists and system inventories handle tickets as per SLA and ITIL processes Work collaboratively in data center operations involving server rack installation cabling power planning and physical security Monthly server reports creation and submit to management team Best understanding of enterprise business application server compliance and process Understand the ITIL work process and deliver the services in terms of server management process Aware about the service desk process with P1 P2 P3 P4 priority and severity level Server network endpoint administrative and tool monitoring skills Advance level knowledge of EDR with policy implementation and deployment in cloud offline platform Advance level knowledge of Domain environment with troubleshoot best understanding of the Active Directory structure Strong problem-solving abilities excellent communication skills and experience supporting enterprise IT Data centre infrastructure particularly in house cloud hybrid mode datacentre best understanding Conduct system hardening and ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides STIGs and other security benchmarks Troubleshoot issues related to application installations system configurations hardening and OS-level restrictions Handle configuration management vulnerability patching and timely deployment of server system updates Diagnose and resolve network issues including wired wireless connectivity IP DNS conflicts DHCP errors VPN access and firewall proxy-related restrictions Advance level knowledge of Linux Unix and Windows administration Advance level knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy RBAC and IT security practices Familiarity with automation tools and configuration management processes Eligibility Mandatory Key Skills -
