Job Description Business Analyst

Role: Business Analyst – ShaktiDB Product Suite (Core DB, Tools & Extensions)

Experience: Minimum 4–8 years

Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Prepare Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), Functional Requirements (FRs), User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Support and Security teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product scope, priorities, and release requirements.
- Support Agile development processes including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain product documentation, release notes, installation guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Analyze customer feedback, enhancement requests, and market requirements to support product roadmap planning.
- Assist in defining product packaging, extension classification, supportability matrices, and release strategies.
- Support release readiness reviews and ensure completeness of functional documentation.
- Coordinate with Support and Engineering teams to analyze customer-reported issues and define resolution requirements.
- Work with Security and Sustainability teams to track compliance, security requirements, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, and product review meetings.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management reviews and decision-making.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.

Basic Qualifications

- Education: BE / B.Tech / MCA / MBA (Systems) or related discipline.
- Experience:



Minimum 4–8 years of Business Analysis experience in software product development.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and product documentation.

Technical Skills

- Strong experience in Business Requirement Analysis and Functional Documentation.
- Experience creating PRDs, BRDs, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Process Flows.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and project tracking tools.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Database Technologies, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Database Security, Auditing, Access Control concepts, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), Backup & Restore concepts.
- Experience in Release Planning, Defect Management, and Change Management.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working on Database Products, Data Platforms, or Enterprise Software Products.
- Exposure to Product Management and Release Management activities.
- Understanding of PostgreSQL ecosystem, extensions, and database administration concepts.
- Experience in customer-facing documentation and product packaging strategies.
- Knowledge of reporting, dashboards, and metrics analysis.
