Role & responsibilities

- Design of clean-agent, foam, water mist, and inert-gas fire suppression systems (INERGEN/IG-541, FK-5-1-12, foam, high-pressure water mist)
- Preparation of P&IDs;, cable block diagrams (CBDs), and electrical drawings
- Preparation of installation details and skid detail drawings
- Hydraulic flow calculations and agent quantity sizing
- Preparation of design packages for class approval submission
- Liaison with class societies, clients, and suppliers

Preferred candidate profile

- 6+ years of design engineering experience in fixed fire protection systems
- Hands-on experience with INERGEN, foam, water mist, and FK-5-1-12 systems
- Able to prepare P&IDs;, cable block diagrams, electrical drawings, flow calculations, installation details, and skid details
- Working knowledge of ABS and DNV class rules and the approval process
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Fire Protection, or related engineering discipline
