Position Summary

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Storage/Backup) is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational support of enterprise storage and data protection platforms, with a focus on Dell EMC storage systems, NetApp and Veritas NetBackup. This role ensures high availability, performance optimization, and resiliency of storage and backup services across on u2011 prem and hybrid/cloud environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Storage Infrastructure Engineering

- Administer and support enterprise SAN/NAS storage environments (EMC PowerMax , NetApp, Isilon, etc.),

- Manage Cisco MDS SAN fabric (zoning, VSANs, trunking ), perform capacity management, and optimize performance.

- Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of storage platforms supporting critical applications.

- Execute lifecycle management including firmware upgrades, patching, and health checks.

Backup & Recovery (NetBackup)

- Design, implement,



and administer Veritas NetBackup (including Flex Appliances).

- Define and manage backup policies, retention schedules, and recovery procedures.

- Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs to ensure SLA compliance.

- Perform restore validations, DR testing, and backup audits.

Data Protection & Disaster Recovery

- Develop and implement enterprise backup and disaster recovery strategies .

- Integrate backup solutions with virtualization (VMware) .

- Support replication, archiving, and data lifecycle management initiatives.
