Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Duck Creek Billing Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and customizing Duck Creek Billing within Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuration, development, integration, and support of billing solutions aligned with business requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex billing systems that directly impact our organizations financial operations and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and configure solutions within Duck Creek Billing platform
- Customize billing workflows, invoicing, payment plans, commissions, and collections processes
- Develop and maintain rating structures, billing schedules, and account structures
- Configure billing rules, write-offs, dunning, and installment plans according to business specifications
- Perform data mapping and support migration from legacy systems to Duck Creek Billing
- Develop inbound and outbound integrations including APIs, web services, and batch jobs
- Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments
- Troubleshoot and resolve billing, reconciliation, and system integration issues
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, integrations, enhancements, and technical decisions
- Provide production support and assist in resolving critical billing issues

Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills

- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Duck Creek products
- Strong expertise in:
- Duck Creek Billing configuration and customization
- Manuscripts, Rules, and Product Studio
- Billing workflows and lifecycle management

- Proficiency with:

- .NET / C#




- SQL Server (advanced queries and performance tuning)
- XML/XSLT
- Web services (REST/SOAP)

- Experience with batch processing and job scheduling
- Knowledge of integration patterns between Billing and:

- Policy modules
- Claims modules
- External payment gateways

- Proficiency with source control tools (Azure DevOps, Git, or similar)

Domain Expertise

- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance principles and operations
- Knowledge of:
- Billing cycles and billing processes
- Agency commissions and commission structures
- Payment plans and payment processing
- Installments and collections
- Refunds and adjustments

- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance billing

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience with Duck Creek Data Insights
- Experience in cloud deployments, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in data migration and billing conversion projects
- Duck Creek certification or relevant industry certifications
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Education & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
