Role Overview The Plant Head will be responsible for overall management of the corrugated box manufacturing facility ensuring smooth production quality output cost efficiency workforce management and adherence to safety and compliance norms The role requires strong leadership technical knowledge of corrugated packaging production processes and the ability to drive continuous improvement in operations Key Responsibilities 1 Production Operations Management Plan organize and control all production activities of the corrugated box plant Ensure optimal utilization of machinery and manpower to achieve production targets Monitor plant performance metrics - efficiency downtime wastage and yield Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve productivity 2 Quality Management Ensure strict adherence to product quality standards Monitor raw material quality kraft paper adhesives inks etc and finished goods Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to minimize customer complaints and rejections 3 Maintenance Asset Management Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of corrugators printing slotting die-cutting folding and stitching machines Ensure minimal downtime and proper calibration of equipment 4 Supply Chain Inventory Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials Optimize inventory of paper reels consumables and spares Liaise with logistics for smooth dispatch of finished goods 5 People Management Lead motivate and train plant staff across production maintenance quality and dispatch Implement safety training and ensure compliance with labor and statutory regulations Drive a culture of teamwork accountability and performance 6 Compliance Safety Ensure compliance with factory laws EHS Environment Health Safety norms and ESG requirements Maintain documentation and coordinate with statutory bodies for inspections audits 7 Cost Budget Control Monitor production costs and reduce wastage energy consumption and rejections Prepare and control plant budgets and achieve cost-saving targets 8 Continuous Improvement Reporting Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation Prepare MIS reports on production quality cost and manpower for management review Qualifications Experience Bachelor s Degree Diploma in Mechanical Electrical Industrial Engineering or Packaging Technology 12-18 years of experience in corrugated box packaging industry with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of corrugators printers die-cutters and converting equipment Exposure to Lean Manufacturing TPM or Six Sigma preferred Key Skills Leadership and team management Strong technical knowledge of corrugated packaging production Decision-making and problem-solving Cost and process optimization Excellent communication and coordination skills Focus on quality safety and compliance Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 60 000 00 - 100 000 00 per month Perks Cell phone reimbursement Provident Fund Work Location In person
