To ensure efficient and compliant operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant ETP including the MBBR system treating wastewater generated by printing packaging processes Maintain quality of treated water to meet discharge norms optimize chemical usage ensure minimal downtime and maintain sustainability environmental compliance Key Responsibilities Operate monitor and maintain the ETP including MBBR units aeration media carriers biofilm growth etc Monitor influent and effluent water quality BOD COD TSS pH oil grease color etc Control and optimize the process parameters of MBBR - dissolved oxygen hydraulic retention time media fill etc to achieve required treatment efficiencies Manage chemical dosing coagulants flocculants pH adjusters as required ensuring safety and cost efficiency Conduct regular inspections of pumps blowers diffusers aerators mechanical electrical equipment in the ETP MBBR Carry out preventive predictive maintenance of equipment pumps motors blowers valves etc Maintain and update operational logs shift reports consumption of utilities power chemicals alarms breakdowns etc Ensure compliance with all setting pollution control rules regulations MPCB CPCB local bodies Handle sludge management thickening dewatering disposal etc Troubleshoot issues biological upsets mechanical failures odor scaling etc Coordinate with internal teams maintenance process production to resolve issues affecting ETP performance Implement continuous improvement reduce chemical costs reduce wastewater generation energy saving etc Maintain housekeeping safety and cleanliness in and around ETP area Train and guide junior operators or staff working in wastewater treatment area Qualification Experience Diploma Bachelor s Degree in Environmental Engineering Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical Biotechnology or related field for Engineer level for Operator level ITI Diploma or relevant field willingness to learn Experience of ETP operation ideally with MBBR technology in industrial effluent settings Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes like biological treatment MBBR SBR activated sludge physical-chemical treatment etc Familiarity with discharge norms and environmental regulations in Maharashtra MPCB CPCB Basic electrical mechanical knowledge to handle pumps blowers motors Ability to read interpret process diagrams P IDs instrumentation Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Benefits Food provided Health insurance Leave encashment Life insurance Provident Fund Education Diploma Preferred Experience ETP Operator 3 years Preferred ETP Operator with Knowledge of MBBR system 3 years Preferred Work Location In person
