DESCRIPTION Amazon is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Withholding Tax team in our Pune India office As a member of the Withholding Tax team the Tax Manager will own the end-to-end process from determination accounting compliance and reporting of withholding tax in multiple countries The Tax Manager will support the global tax business and other stakeholder teams on various projects and deliverables A highly organized self-starter with excellent communication and time management skills will be successful on this team Key job responsibilities Advise and support on withholding tax considerations for recent countries projects and business lines Manage withholding tax compliances including payments and filings Undertake tax treaty analysis and manage necessary tax treaty forms Manage systems for regular review of financial activity for withholding tax assessment Manage research and deliver on customer requests for tax treaty forms for withholding taxes Deliver monthly tax reconciliations to support global financial reporting Assist with tax controversy efforts by gathering and organizing supporting documentation of withholding tax positions and filings Support automation and tech initiatives for withholding tax BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department CA CPA PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level Understanding and experience of working on tax treaties and withholding tax Experience interacting with outside service providers Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit https amazon jobs content en how-we-hire accommodations for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
