integration of Enterprise platforms including Mainframe NonStop and IBMi Your responsibilities will include understanding and complying with Project Lifecycle Methodology in all planning steps adhering to IT Control Policies throughout design development and testing and incorporating Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications Job responsibilities Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met Drives results collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production and sees assignments through to completion Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters Escalates issues to appropriate leaders Develops considerations for upstream downstream data and systems or technical implications Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design implementation and delivery Understanding Queue Manager queues channels and other MQ objects Add queue managers to clusters queue sharing group for load balancing and failover Demonstrated stong understanding of cloud virtualization APIs and modern software languages Provide MQ administration support to multiple applications Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect Required qualifications capabilities and skills Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 2 years applied experience In-depth experience with IBM MQ IIB functionality design integration and implementation Performing MQ and IIB systems programming in a zSeries operating system environment involving maintenance Provides analysis plan MQ upgrades to new version and apply maintenance Experience with installation maintaining and implementation of z OS and ISV software Understanding Queue Manager queues channels and other MQ objects Proficient knowledge of hardware networking terminology databases storage engineering deployment practices integration automation scaling resilience and performance assessments Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages Python Java C C Go JCL REXX PERL PHP JYTHON zOSMF Workflows J2EE MVC JDBC Servlets Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies General knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and moderate proficiency in relevant scripting languages e g Scripting Python etc Experience with cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds Basic technical knowledge of additional technical domains Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills Solid critical thinking
