Qualification Diploma BE B Tech - Biomedical Engineering Experience Fresher Roles Responsibilities Repair install maintain calibrate and inspect medical equipment and instrumentation including life support equipment Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment devices and systems To enhance patient care and safety through effective engineering application practices ensuring cost effective management Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions Maintain documentation on new equipment inspections and equipment repairs and failures Assist with and evaluate third party repairs Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance Carry out planned preventive maintenance inspections Installation commissions and tests in accordance with the departmental procedures Review outcome of preventive maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements Provide mentoring to other biomedical engineers May assist senior clinical engineers or supervisor with in-service educational programs on use of equipment Monitor ensure the updating of statistical history card Complete all recent Medical Equipment Acceptance form and report any missing item to the Department Prepare spare parts request May be required to attend a call at any time of the day Ensure that the overall activities meet the requirements of quality management environmental policies and legal stipulations Successful participation in required training programs offered by the Company as well as Hospital Recognize the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position Knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation repair and maintenance Knowledge of the application and repair of computers and servers and how they interface with medical equipment Knowledge of current regulatory requirements Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology as applied to use of biomedical equipment Knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring equipment Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections Ability to run diagnostic programs Ability to interpret schematics wiring diagrams and illustrated parts drawing of biomedical instrumentation Ability to maintain accurate records of repairs calibration and tests Ability to push pull equipment carts and to kneel stand bend and reach during equipment repair Skill in testing equipment Skill in manual dexterity hand to eye coordination and color vision Inspect install and perform inventory assessments and preventive maintenance of medical equipment Assist medical and nursing staff in the use of equipment Job Type Internship Work Location In person
