Job Purpose To develop and optimize CNC programs for Vertical Machining Centers VMC to manufacture high-precision mould base components as per drawing and quality standards Key Responsibilities Programming Operations Prepare CNC programs for VMC machines using CAM software e g Mastercam NX or similar Optimize tool paths and machining processes for efficiency and precision Select appropriate cutting tools feeds and speeds for various materials steel alloy steel tool steel Job Setup Troubleshooting Setup tools jigs fixtures and workpieces on the VMC machine Perform test runs and adjust programs to achieve desired dimensions and surface finish Troubleshoot machining issues and resolve any programming errors or machine alarms Drawing Interpretation Interpret 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for programming Ensure dimensional accuracy and geometric tolerances GD T as per drawing Process Documentation Maintain program records process sheets and setup sheets Ensure proper backup and version control of all CNC programs Machine Maintenance Safety Perform basic maintenance of VMC machines Ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols on the shop floor Key Skills Competencies Strong knowledge of VMC programming and machining processes Proficient in CAM software Mastercam Siemens NX Solid CAM or equivalent Hands-on experience with Fanuc Siemens or Mitsubishi controllers Positive understanding of cutting tool selection cutting parameters and fixture design Ability to work from technical drawings and CAD models Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Key Machines Knowledge VMC Vertical Machining Centers Tool Offset Work Offset Setting Basic knowledge of Conventional Milling Grinding preferred Qualifications Experience ITI Diploma Degree in Mechanical Production Tool Die Making 3 to 6 years of experience in VMC Programming Operations preferably in mould base or precision machining industry Experience with high-precision components and close tolerance work Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 50 000 00 per month Work Location In person
