An English Teacher is responsible for developing students reading writing speaking and listening skills in the English language while fostering critical thinking and a love for literature Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the curriculum Teach grammar vocabulary comprehension writing and literature Prepare lesson plans worksheets and teaching materials Assess students through tests assignments projects and oral work Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on students performance Improve students communication and language proficiency Encourage reading habits and creative writing Manage classroom discipline and maintain a positive learning environment Identify learning difficulties and provide extra support when needed Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods in lessons Administrative Skilled Duties Maintain student records attendance and assessment reports Participate in staff meetings training programs and workshops Communicate with parents regarding students progress Assist in examination duties and school activities Follow school policies and educational guidelines Skills Competencies Strong command of English language and literature Excellent communication and presentation skills Classroom management and student engagement skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners Creativity patience and empathy Educational Qualifications Typical Bachelor s degree in English B Ed or teaching certification for school teaching CTET State TET for government schools where applicable Job Type Full-time Pay 40 000 00 - 45 000 00 per month Work Location In person
