Core Responsibilities As an Eng 4 Software Development Engineer specializing in Java Full Stack and Video domain you would Lead a team of designers and engineers to create build and maintain high-quality Application Platform and experiences across different Customers Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers engineers and stakeholders to define and deliver effective solutions Architect design and optimize Application platform and onboard several applications to this platform Customizing User experience for each consumer based on their requirements Work with Product and Development owners in defining the feature user story requirements Responsible for End to End Software Development Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and continuously improve the Application platform and experience Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members helping to build a culture of design excellence Ensure that design principles and best practices are followed including accessibility standards Troubleshoot and resolve complex user experience challenges and design issues Act as the primary point of contact working closely with product managers and engineering teams to define requirements and priorities Requirements Key requirements and experience include A bachelor s degree in a related field and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Java Fullstack and Video Domain expertise design and development Expertise in Platform design and experience with Java Springboot MySQL and Hibernate for Application development Strong experience in designing developing and optimizing user interfaces using React JS HTML CSS and modern front-end frameworks Hands-on experience with AWS ELK Jenkins Concourse would be beneficial Deep understand of video product regulatory requirements and in areas such as closed captioning EAS IP video streaming audio video codec Dolby Digital Plus Bluetooth Distribution EAC3 and others Strong experience in home networking protocols and technologies such as Bluetooth Zigbee Wi-Fi DLNA and others Strong experience in all areas of software development lifecycle Familiarity with user research methodologies usability testing and gathering user feedback Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for designing inclusive user experiences Strong experience in working with development team to prevent software defects by attending requirements reviews and architectural design reviews Strong problem-solving skills with a user-centered approach to designing complex workflows Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Experience working in an agile development environment Experience integrating design systems and reusable UI components into development processes Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI CD pipelines for design and development workflows
