Blueprint Interpretation Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and specifications to understand the layout and requirements of piping systems Pipe Installation Cut thread and weld pipes according to specifications Install and assemble pipes and fittings ensuring proper alignment and positioning Select appropriate materials and tools for each project System Maintenance and Repair Conduct routine inspections to identify and repair leaks malfunctions or other issues in the piping systems Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of piping systems Quality Control Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to specifications and industry standards Collaboration Work closely with other professionals including welders plumbers and engineers to coordinate activities and ensure project success Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Safety Compliance Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a secure working environment Use personal protective equipment PPE and follow safety guidelines at all times Qualifications and Skills Education High school diploma or equivalent Vocational or technical training in pipe fitting is preferred Experience Proven experience as a pipe fitter in a shipyard or similar environment Technical Skills Proficiency in using tools such as pipe cutters threaders and welding equipment Robust understanding of different types of pipes fittings and materials Physical Fitness Ability to lift and move heavy materials Stamina to work in physically demanding conditions Problem-Solving Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and address issues effectively Job Type Full-time Pay 25 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Experience total work 3 years Required Work Location In person
