Designation - Senior Development Engineer Job type - Full time Experience - 5 years of experience Job Summary The Senior Development Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design planning and execution of development projects This position involves working closely with architects contractors consultants and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality cost-effective and timely construction projects The Senior Development Engineer must possess strong technical expertise in construction engineering project management skills and the ability to solve complex challenges while adhering to safety quality and regulatory standards Key Responsibilities Develop detailed project plans schedules and budgets to meet project objectives Collaborate with architects consultants and contractors to ensure project alignment with design and technical requirements Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify project risks and opportunities and resource allocation for new projects Review and approve designs drawings and specifications Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to timelines quality and cost control Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during the construction process Lead and mentor project teams including junior engineers site supervisors and contractors Conduct performance evaluations and provide technical guidance to team members Foster collaboration across departments to ensure seamless project execution Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective measures when necessary Liaise with clients vendors and government authorities for approvals and clearances Regularly track project progress and provide updates to stakeholders Prepare detailed reports including budget variances project milestones and risk assessments Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals responsibilities and progress Manage procurement activities including vendor selection contract negotiations and material sourcing Lead the technical development of projects from initial design phases through to completion Coordinate with architects contractors and project teams to develop detailed project plans timelines and budgets Make sure project objectives including cost quality and timelines are met efficiently Supervise and manage engineering teams working on development projects ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards Collaborate in the conceptualization and design of infrastructure buildings and other development-related projects Review architectural designs and engineering plans for feasibility and accuracy Provide technical input into the preparation of designs cost estimations and construction schedules Perform structural mechanical and civil engineering calculations and analyses as required Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations to assess the viability of proposed development projects Perform detailed analysis of site conditions and data to inform design decisions Prepare and review reports permits and documentation required for project approvals Monitor the quality of construction processes to ensure that all work meets the specified quality standards Oversee testing and commissioning processes for construction systems and equipment Attend meetings with clients architects and stakeholders to discuss project progress timelines and technical requirements Effectively communicate with stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates on the project s progress Identify potential risks related to design construction and other operational processes Develop strategies to mitigate these risks including contingency planning and alternative design solutions Monitor progress regularly identify delays and proactively suggest corrective actions Recommend solutions to improve construction methods reduce costs and enhance project outcomes Oversee project budgets ensuring projects stay within financial constraints Review procurement documents and cost estimates Manage change orders and control the cost implications of design changes and project modifications Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members Foster a collaborative work environment by encouraging innovation teamwork and continuous learning Conduct performance evaluations and assist with career development planning for team members Oversee the close-out of construction projects ensuring all deliverables are completed to specification Manage project handover processes ensuring that clients receive all necessary documentation warranties and manuals Ensure that the post-construction phase including maintenance is properly planned and executed Make reports of progress on monthly weekly and monthly basis Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management Structural Engineering or a related field Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction engineering with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role Strong experience in the real estate and construction sectors with a focus on both residential and commercial projects Proficiency in engineering software AutoCAD Revit SAP2000 MS Project etc Strong understanding of construction processes building codes regulations and safety standards Excellent problem-solving analytical and critical-thinking abilities Strong project management and budgeting skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Exceptional leadership
