Job Summary The Purchase Engineer Executive will be responsible for the strategic procurement of materials components and services required for the manufacturing of vacuum pumps and systems The role involves vendor management cost control timely procurement and coordination with engineering production and quality departments to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals focusing on cost reduction supplier quality and lead-time optimization Vendor Management Identify evaluate and develop suppliers for components like castings machined parts motors gaskets valves etc used in vacuum systems Material Planning Work with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements based on sales and inventory levels Cost Control Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to achieve the best commercial terms while maintaining quality standards Inventory Management Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to avoid stock-outs or overstocking using ERP MRP systems Quality Assurance Collaborate with the QA QC team to ensure incoming materials meet required technical specifications and quality standards Documentation Compliance Maintain proper documentation for purchase orders contracts delivery schedules and vendor evaluations Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company procurement policies Logistics Coordination Coordinate with transporters and logistics providers for timely delivery of goods and materials Market Research Stay updated on market trends raw material price fluctuations and alternate sourcing options Key Skills Competencies In-depth knowledge of industrial machinery components and raw materials Strong negotiation and vendor development skills Proficiency in ERP systems SAP Oracle etc Technical understanding of engineering drawings specifications Analytical problem-solving and decision-making ability Excellent communication and leadership skills Educational Qualification Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering or equivalent MBA in Supply Chain Management Materials Management Preferred Job Types Full time Permanent Pay 300 000 00 - 450 000 00 per year Benefits Health insurance Provident Fund Application Question s Have you handled purchasing for vacuum pumps compressors or rotating equipment Which pump types rotary vane liquid ring screw roots etc What major components have you procured for vacuum pumps Castings impellers shafts rotors mechanical seals bearings motors couplings valves Have you worked with BOM-based purchasing for pump assemblies How do you manage revisions What materials have you sourced for pump components How do you develop and qualify vendors for precision machined or critical pump parts How do you handle rejection cases for machined or cast pump components What is your experience in vacuum pump or similar equipment manufacturing Whats Your Current Exprcted CTC Are you avaialble to join immediate OR Within 30 days notice period Work Location In person
