Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Steward to join our kitchen team The steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen washing dishes and utensils supporting kitchen staff with basic tasks and ensuring smooth kitchen operations behind the scenes Key Responsibilities Wash and sanitize all kitchen equipment utensils cutlery and dishes Clean and maintain kitchen work areas including floors walls sinks and food preparation surfaces Properly handle and store cleaning supplies and chemicals according to safety standards Dispose of garbage and kitchen waste in a safe and sanitary manner Assist chefs with basic kitchen tasks such as peeling chopping or food preparation when required Ensure all dishwashing and storage areas are organized and clutter-free Operate dishwashing machines and ensure correct temperatures and chemicals are used Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment such as ovens grills fryers and refrigerators Report any broken or damaged equipment to the supervisor Support the kitchen and service teams during busy periods as needed Requirements Previous experience in a stewarding or kitchen helper role is preferred but not required Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures Ability to work in a hot fast-paced and physically demanding environment Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Strong teamwork and communication skills Flexibility to work shifts including nights weekends and holidays Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene HACCP knowledge is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary or hourly wage Staff meals and uniforms Training and career development opportunities Friendly and supportive work setting Opportunities for promotion within the kitchen team Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 17 000 00 per month Work Location In person
