Job Title School Electrician Department Maintenance Facilities Location JKG International School Indirapuram Reporting To Maintenance Supervisor Admin Officer Principal Employment Type Full-time Part time Contractual as applicable Job Purpose The School Electrician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing all electrical systems and related infrastructure within the school premises The role ensures the safety functionality and compliance of all electrical installations to support a secure learning environment Key Responsibilities 1 Installation Maintenance Install and maintain electrical wiring outlets lighting systems circuit breakers UPS inverters and other electrical components Maintain classroom smartboards projectors and other electrical teaching aids Install fans ACs water heaters and other appliances as per school requirements 2 Troubleshooting Repairs Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices Repair or replace faulty wiring switches lights and other components Ensure power backup systems e g generators inverters are functioning correctly 3 Preventive Maintenance Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards Perform routine checks on electrical panels distribution boards and earthing systems Maintain records of inspections and repairs 4 Safety Compliance Ensure all electrical work complies with local safety regulations and school policies Identify and resolve safety hazards Support in conducting electrical fire safety drills and training when required 5 Coordination Documentation Coordinate with school administration and external vendors for procurement of parts Maintain a log of work completed materials used and maintenance schedules Provide technical support during school events e g setting up lighting sound systems Required Skills and Qualifications ITI Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade certification Minimum 2-5 years of experience as an electrician preferably in an institutional or school environment Sound knowledge of electrical systems blueprints schematics and safety standards Ability to work independently and handle emergencies efficiently Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks Preferred Qualities Basic knowledge of HVAC systems CCTV PA systems and fire alarm systems Good communication skills Ability to work flexibly and during off-hours when required A proactive and responsible attitude Working Conditions Regular working hours with availability during weekends or after-hours in case of urgent repairs or events Work may involve climbing ladders working at heights or in confined spaces Use of protective gear and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory Job Type Permanent Pay 8 571 01 - 29 789 60 per month Work Location In person
