Guidewire Integration Developer Job Description Role Overview

A Guidewire Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) and external systems using Guidewires integration framework, APIs, and middleware technologies.

Key Responsibilities Integration Development

- Design and develop SOAP/REST web services for Guidewire applications
- Build integrations using Guidewire Integration Framework (Gosu-based)
- Develop real-time and batch integrations with external systems
- Work on Gosu plugins, messaging, and web services

System Integration & Architecture
- Integrate Guidewire with:
- Policy administration systems
- Claims systems
- Payment gateways
- Data warehouses
- Third-party vendors (rating engines, document systems, etc.)

- Use middleware tools like:

- MuleSoft
- Apache Camel
- Kafka
- IBM Integration Bus

Messaging & APIs
- Implement:
- Asynchronous messaging (JMS, MQ)
- Event-driven integrations

- Develop and consume:

- REST APIs (JSON)
- SOAP services (XML/WSDL)

Configuration & Customization
- Configure:
- Outbound & inbound messaging
- Integration points in Guidewire

- Customize Guidewire functionality using:

- Gosu scripting
- PCF configurations (if needed)

Testing & Debugging
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing
- Debug integration issues across systems
- Use tools like:




- Postman
- SOAP UI
- Guidewire Studio logs

Performance & Optimization
- Optimize integration performance and scalability
- Handle large data volumes and improve response times

Documentation
- Create:
- Interface design documents
- API specifications
- Technical documentation

Required Skills Core Guidewire Skills
- Robust experience in:
- Guidewire PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / BillingCenter

- Knowledge of:

- Guidewire Integration Framework
- Messaging architecture
- Web services (SOAP & REST)

- Experience in Gosu programming
