Location Mumbai Role Overview The Development Assistant will be responsible for utilizing advanced cell culture techniques to screen for high-producing clones and optimize growth conditions in shake flask and fed-batch systems This role also includes maintaining and managing general laboratory operations Key Responsibilities Perform limiting dilution techniques to evaluate single-cell clonality Screen and optimize high-producing clones Conduct cell culture maintenance and banking Optimize growth conditions in shake flask and fed-batch systems Assess product expression using HPLC UPLC PAGE and cIEF Participate in maintaining the lab by performing routine lab responsibilities Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant information Develop research techniques and write detailed protocols Train and supervise staff on various techniques and protocols Present well-documented experimental data results and conclusions to management Supervise schedule and coordinate activities of less experienced research staff Key Competencies Extensive knowledge and industrial experience in cell culture techniques Proficient in screening and optimizing high-producing clones Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Excellent presentation skills for sharing experimental data results and conclusions with management Familiarity with GLP practices is an advantage Experience 5-7 years of prior experience in the biotechnology industry Qualification MS MTech or PhD in a relevant field
