About PlayShifu PlayShifu is one of the fastest growing technology startups creating educational toys that spark the imagination of children worldwide Our award-winning products often evoke the thought I wish I had them in my childhood We have built patented technology and product stacks and now sell in more than 60 countries About the Role We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Product Development NPD Engineer with a strong background in engineering design prototyping and product launch processes The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience leading or supporting the development of new products from concept to commercialisation You will collaborate cross-functionally with design manufacturing supply chain and quality teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective products that meet customer and market needs What You ll Be Doing Lead or support end-to-end product development cycles including concept generation feasibility studies design validation and production launch Collaborate with cross-functional teams Design Manufacturing Quality Marketing Supply Chain to define product requirements and ensure manufacturability Create and manage technical documentation including design specifications DFMEAs BOMs test plans and engineering change requests Develop and validate prototypes and first articles using rapid prototyping CAD and CAE tools Participate in design reviews and risk assessments Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for design or production-related issues Manage project timelines deliverables and resource planning in alignment with the NPD roadmap Liaise with suppliers and vendors during the development of components and tooling Ensure compliance with applicable standards regulations and internal quality processes What We re Looking For Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or related Engineering field Master s preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in NPD preferably in a manufacturing or product-based company Proficient in 3D CAD software e g SolidWorks Creo or CATIA Strong understanding of DFM DFA GD T and tolerance stack-up analysis Hands-on experience with prototyping methods materials selection and testing Familiarity with Stage-Gate or Agile NPD processes Excellent project management and communication skills Working knowledge of ISO and regulatory compliance e g ISO 9001 FDA CE as applicable to the industry Bonus if you have PLM and ERP systems experience Six Sigma or Lean methodologies exposure Familiarity with embedded systems if applicable Patent or IP experience What we offer Creative Products Work on award-winning consumer products made in India for the world Talented Motivated Team Join a passionate crew of builders learners and dreamers Growth Opportunities Learn from global markets challenging projects and hands-on mentorship Employee Discounts on our products Comprehensive health insurance for your and your dependents Central office location a fully stocked kitchen endless snacks team lunch fun events etc Job Type Full-time Pay 600 000 00 - 900 000 00 per year Perks Food provided Health insurance Leave encashment Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Application Question s Have you completed the following level of education Bachelor s Degree Are you comfortable working in an onsite setting How many years of work experience do you have with 3D Computer Aided Design 3D CAD How many years of experience do you have in NPD How many years of experience do you have in a manufacturing or product-based company What is your current CTC What is your expected CTC Work Location In person
