Full time Work From Office This Position is Currently OpenDepartment Category DESIGNER Listed on Jul 25 2025Work Location CHENNAI Job Descritpion of Mechanical Designer 4 to 9 Years Relevant Experience We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with expertise in gas turbine and steam turbine product development The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in 3D modeling mechanical design standards and manufacturing processes such as casting forging and fabrication This role involves working closely with engineering teams and customers to develop high-quality turbo machinery components in compliance with industry and organizational standards Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components for turbo machinery products including gas turbines and steam turbines Interpret and analyze customer requirements ensuring alignment with TCS processes and standards Create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for rotor and stator components as well as full product assemblies using Siemens NX Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GD T principles for precise and manufacturable designs Review and validate 3D models and technical drawings for accuracy compliance and completeness Collaborate across engineering teams to derive critical product requirements and design considerations Work with Teamcenter for PLM activities including documentation revisions and version control Incorporate manufacturing techniques such as casting forging and fabrication into the design process Communicate regularly with customers in accordance with TCS protocols to provide updates and gather feedback Adapt quickly to new tools technologies and project requirements to meet defined performance metrics Required Skills Qualifications Hands-on experience in mechanical product design for turbo machinery especially gas turbines and steam turbines Proficient in Siemens NX for 3D modeling and drawing generation Strong understanding of GD T solid modeling and mechanical drafting standards Knowledge of Teamcenter or similar PLM systems Familiarity with manufacturing processes including casting forging and fabrication Ability to interpret complex technical requirements and convert them into detailed mechanical designs Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional and customer-facing environments Fast learner with a results-driven mindset and attention to detail Required Skills for Mechanical Designer Job Product Design Gas Turbine NX GD T Solid modelling Casting Forging Farbrication Detail drawing Team center Turbo machinaries Our Hiring Process Screening HR Round Technical Round 1 Technical Round 2 Final HR Round
