The role

The person is responsible for the internation and domestic commercial operations. The role and responsibility of the person to be handling of export-import documentation, coordination with Banks, Remittances, LCs, Billing and compliance with DGFT, Customs and other related departments.Co-ordination with Buyer, Seller, Artists and Galleries and auction houses.

Responsibilities

1. Import Export Operations & Coordination: Managed export documentation and import/export customs clearances while coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHAs, domestic transporters, and authorities such as Customs, DGFT, and banks.
2. Banking, Payments & Foreign Exchange: Handled banking activities including closure of bills, bank guarantees, LCs, remittances, export proceeds realization, high sea sales, MTT, and bank rate negotiations; monitored foreign exchange exposure, hedging, and resolved discrepancies to ensure timely compliance.
3. Documentation & Trade Records: Prepared and verified import export documents such as proforma invoices, invoices, HS code declarations, GST applicability, pricing, and Incoterms, while maintaining accurate statutory records.
4. Compliance, Reporting & Insurance: Ensured compliance with RBI/FEMA, GST, Customs Act, and Foreign Trade Policy; fulfilled EPCG and Advance Authorization obligations, coordinated with auditors,



managed MIS for receivables/payables and bank reconciliations, and ensured marine, transit, and liability insurance coverage.

Qualifications

- Bachelor s degree in commerce / international business / finance.

- 7 12 years of experience in import export commercial operations.

- Strong knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), LC procedures, FEMA, RBI regulations.

- Experience working with banks and customs authorities.
