Job Purpose

To ensure the safety and security of the plant, employees, visitors, assets, raw materials, finished goods, and company property by implementing effective security systems, access control, surveillance, emergency response, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Security Operations

- Manage round-the-clock security operations across the plant premises.
- Supervise deployment of security personnel at all entry/exit gates, warehouses, yards, and critical locations.
- Ensure strict adherence to security policies, SOPs, and company regulations.
- Conduct regular security rounds and surprise inspections.

2. Access Control

- Monitor entry and exit of employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles.
- Verify gate passes, material movement documents, and visitor authorizations.
- Ensure proper issuance and monitoring of employee and contractor ID cards.
- Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.

3. Material & Asset Protection

- Monitor inward and outward movement of raw materials, consumables, scrap, stores, and finished goods.
- Prevent theft, pilferage, fraud, and unauthorized material movement.
- Verify dispatch documents, delivery challans, and weighbridge records.
- Conduct investigations into shortages or discrepancies.

4. Surveillance & Monitoring

- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and ensure all cameras remain operational.
- Investigate suspicious activities and security breaches.
- Maintain records of CCTV footage and incident reports.
- Coordinate with IT for surveillance system maintenance.

5. Emergency Response

- Lead emergency response during fire, accidents, security threats, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
- Coordinate with Fire & Safety, EHS, local police, and emergency services.
- Conduct mock drills for fire, evacuation, and security emergencies.





6. Security Risk Management

- Identify security risks and recommend preventive measures.
- Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for identified gaps.

7. Contractor & Agency Management

- Supervise contract security agencies and ensure adequate manpower deployment.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, uniforms, and performance of security guards.
- Conduct training on security procedures and emergency response.
- Evaluate contractor performance periodically.

8. Incident Investigation

- Investigate thefts, accidents, trespassing, misconduct, and security violations.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports.
- Coordinate with HR, Legal, and local authorities whenever required.
- Maintain confidentiality of investigations.

9. Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain gate registers, visitor records, vehicle logs, incident reports, and daily security reports.
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Industrial Security norms, and company policies.
- Support statutory inspections related to plant security.

10. Coordination

- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Dispatch, Logistics, HR, Administration, and EHS departments.
- Liaise with local police, fire brigade, intelligence agencies, and district administration when required.

- Reduction in theft, pilferage, and material losses.
