MSA Global Technology & Engineering is an AS9100 Rev D and DGQA-certified precision manufacturing company serving aerospace and defence customers, including Boeing (via TASL) and the Indian Army. We operate a fleet of DMG MORI 5-axis and 3-axis CNC machines, working with advanced materials such as titanium and Inconel. As we expand into a new facility, we are strengthening our organisation with experienced leadership across functions.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Assistant Manager Finance & Accounts will manage accounting, product costing, statutory compliance, and MIS for a growing aerospace and defence precision manufacturing operation. The role requires strong exposure to finalisation of accounts and audit in a manufacturing environment, along with hands-on ownership of statutory and audit compliance, and reports to the Finance Head / Leadership.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience, with meaningful experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably engineering/precision manufacturing) non-negotiable.
- working knowledge of cost accounting and product costing for a job-shop or machining environment, including raw material, tooling, overheads, and WIP valuation.
- Hands-on experience with statutory compliance GST, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC filings.
- Experience with export/import-related financial documentation (LUT, GST refunds on exports) relevant to a company serving international and NATO-aligned customers.
- Experience with finalisation of accounts, monthly MIS preparation, and coordination of statutory, internal, and cost audits.
- Expert knowledge of ERP/accounting systems (Tally, SAP, or similar) and advanced MS Excel.
- Experience managing banking relationships, working capital, and fund flow for a manufacturing business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own day-to-day accounting operations accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close.
- Manage product/job costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis across machining operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance GST, TDS, PF/ESI coordination, income tax, and ROC requirements.
- Prepare monthly MIS, budgets, and variance reports for Leadership.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, and cost audits, and ensure audit readiness of financial records.
- Manage banking relationships, working capital, and cash flow planning.
- Support costing and pricing inputs for customer quotations and new business proposals.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations on capital expenditure evaluation, vendor payment terms, and cost control initiatives.
- Build and mentor a small accounts team as the finance function scales with the new facility.
