The Opportunity
Senior Managers will lead Digital, Technology, and Cyber Risk engagements at scale and drive conversations with senior leadership, including CISO, CIO, CRO, Heads of Digital Risk, and equivalent. They will guide multi-year transformation initiatives and ensure solid engagement governance.
Essentially would serve as programme level leader, shaping digital risk strategy, overseeing multiple engagements, driving market activity, and leading practice development.
Your Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Leadership
- Own senior stakeholder relationships (CRO, CRO 1, CISO, Heads of Digital Risk - depending on organisation size).
- Shape multiyear digital risk strategies, operating models, and transformation roadmaps.
- Lead conversations on emerging risk themes such as AI risk, cloud transformation, SaaS governance, resilience, data risk, and third-party ecosystems.
Engagement Leadership
- Oversee multiple projects or large transformation programmes.
- Ensure delivery quality, budget oversight, commercial management, and staffing.
- Challenge complex client decisions on architecture, cloud design, cybersecurity, and regulatory obligations.
- Manage escalations, scope changes, and resolution of delivery risks.
Market Development / Go to Market
- Lead proposals, pitch meetings, commercial structuring, and long term account development for the UK market.
- Build or tailor propositions for key sectors (Consumer, Retail, Life Sciences, Tech, Media, Government, Energy, Telco, etc.).
- Support development of accelerators and enhancements to EY methodologies.
Practice People Leadership
- Mentor Managers/Senior Consultants; support performance reviews and progression planning.
- Lead internal capability building, recruitment, training, and innovation initiatives.
- Shape the long term strategy for the Digital Risk practice (e.g., AI risk framework, cloud assurance operating model).
Risk Compliance
- Ensure compliance with EY s engagement protocols and UK firm risk processes.
- Review and sign off SoWs, deliverables, risk assessments, and independence documentation.
Skills and attributes for success
- Ability to engage confidently with senior executives in Digital, Technology, Cloud, and Cyber.
- Strong program management, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Deep understanding of risk frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CSA CCM, SOC 2) and regulatory themes.
- Ability to shape strategies across cyber transformation, cloud migration, resilience, and data risk.
- Experience managing large teams across geographies.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in technology, Cybersecurity, Risk, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of Digital/Cyber/Technology Risk experience with significant leadership exposure.
Additionally, good to have
- Proven experience in direct client facing roles, partnering with cross functional teams to deliver assessment and remediation activities.
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and drive cross functional collaboration across internal audit, cybersecurity leadership, risk governance, and business executives to oversee end to end cyber assurance programmes, strengthen control posture, and ensure timely closure of remediation plans.
- Professional certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CCSK, or cloud certifications.
