Role & responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain product costing for Finished Goods (FG) and Semi-Finished Goods (SFG).
- Calculate and monitor conversion cost for various manufacturing processes.
- Review of Bills of Material (BOM) in SAP. Prepare and update routing for new SKUs and calculate routing costs.
- Execute standard costing runs in SAP and ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Compare standard costs with budgeted costs and analyze cost variances.
- Prepare monthly variance analysis (Budget vs. Actual) and submit MIS reports.
- Ensure timely month end closing of books of accounts and provisions in SAP.
- Prepare and declare monthly Plant Profit & Loss (P&L;) statements.
- Review production expenses and ensure proper allocation of manufacturing overheads.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores and Procurement teams for accurate inventory and production accounting.
- Monitor scrap generation, reconciliation, and accounting treatment.
- Maintain inventory valuation and ensure accurate accounting of raw materials, WIP, FG and SFG.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing costs.
- Assist in Capital Expenditure (CAPEX)

- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and process depreciation in SAP.
- Review provisions for expenses and ensure timely accounting entries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing required financial information and documentation.
- Continuously identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to improve costing accuracy and operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

- Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO/MM modules).
- Knowledge of Standard Costing, Product Costing, Plant Accounting & P/L.
- Strong understanding of BOM, Routing and Cost Sheet configuration.
- Experience in Inventory Accounting and Manufacturing Accounting.
- Valuable knowledge of financial reporting Budgeting, MIS Reporting and Variance Analysis.
- Understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting and Depreciation.
