Job Title: Planning Engineer Oil & Gas

Job Summary
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely execution of EPC/Oil & Gas projects. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, tracking project progress, identifying risks, and supporting successful project delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and project teams to define scope, milestones, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and dashboards.
- Assist in project budgeting, resource planning, and cost monitoring.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, vendors, and contractors.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure schedule compliance.
- Review subcontractor schedules and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and statutory requirements.
- Analyze project performance and recommend process improvements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Positive understanding of EPC/Oil & Gas project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, and cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with construction standards, HSE requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational, reporting, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- PMP/PRINCE2 certification will be an added advantage.
