About the Company

We are a leading integrated steel manufacturing company with operations across Iron Making, Steel Making, Rolling Mills, Captive Power Plant, Pellet Plant, Ferro Alloys, and Mining. We are looking for an experienced Contract Specialist to support our procurement, projects, engineering, operations, and commercial functions through effective contract management and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of contracts, including EPC/EPCM, civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, equipment supply, service, logistics, consultancy, and annual rate contracts.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle from tendering and contract award through execution, amendments, claims, renewals, and contract close-out.
- Review and administer contracts based on FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Red Book, Yellow Book, and Silver Book), where applicable.
- Identify contractual, commercial, and legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support Procurement, Projects, Engineering, and Commercial teams during bid evaluations, vendor negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Administer contract variations, change orders, Extension of Time (EOT),



liquidated damages, performance guarantees, and contractor claims.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, company policies, and internal governance frameworks.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Projects, Operations, Stores, and other cross-functional teams for seamless contract execution.
- Maintain contract registers, document repositories, MIS reports, renewal trackers, and claims records.
- Support dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation by maintaining comprehensive contractual documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.), Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Contracts, or Operations will be an added advantage.
- Certification in Contract Management (WorldCC/IACCM) and FIDIC Certification will be preferred.
- 510 years of experience in Contract Management within Integrated Steel Plants, Power Plants, Mining, Heavy Engineering, Metals, or EPC organizations.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, EPC/EPCM contracts, Indian Contract Act, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, and commercial contract administration.
- Experience in managing contracts for plant expansion, capital projects, shutdowns, equipment procurement, and maintenance contracts will be preferred.
